MirZyme win the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Completion prize

Team MirZyme have won the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Completion prize entitled: 'Best Professor-Student Team’, having been invited as one of 50 finalists out of 1000 global startups to pitch in Singapore.

Professor Asif Ahmed stated "I am proud of our team who have worked hard and for a long time to come up with a groundbreaking solution that has the potential to save 10 million mothers and babies each year from the clutches of a devastating disease, preeclampsia.

Preeclampsia, often dubbed the “silent killer,” claims lives every minute, but we didn’t know why—until now.

Team MirZyme have unlocked the secrets behind preeclampsia’s origins and how to prevent it.

In essence, these discoveries pave the way to predict and prevent preeclampsia, offering hope and a chance at life for countless families.

They were recently recognised for this discovery and for moving it from research towards reality by the Lee Kaun Yew Global Business Plan Competition prize. Let’s continue to innovate and save lives together! Remember, time waits for no one."
